After growing up in Durbanville the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town, the concept of Braaiing is ingrained in, I would say, just about every single South African. Us as Saffers will make any excuse to have a Lekka Braai (1st Birthdays, Rugby, for a few drinks or for no reason at all….)
I love that iNUA Hotel Collection has given us in Ember the opportunity to bring this style of cooking and a-bit of South Africa to Kilkenny and Ireland. I know there is so many South Africans that will enjoy it home away from home.
And also, for the Irish public to experience there amazing local produce, prepared in a new fresh way that they most probably haven’t experienced before.
All in all, everyone here at Ember will produce the best Irish food possible with a South African twist and we are all extremely excited to share this with as many people as possible.
